Vulcan Mozambique operates one of Africa’s largest coal projects at the Moatize Mine near Tete City. With estimated reserves of 2.3 billion tonnes and a production target of 52 MTPA, the operation produces high-quality metallurgical coal for steelmaking and thermal coal for energy generation. The project is connected to the Nacala deep-water port through a 912 km rail network, enabling efficient large-scale exports to global markets.
